Workshop on Adivasi Identity, Culture and Traditional Knowledge
The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Gandhinagar conducted one-day workshop on Adivasi and Tribal Identity, Culture and Traditional Knowledge at IIT Gandhinagar on 3rd November 2023.
Members of Tribal Design Forum; Anugrah Pandi Lepcha from Kalimpong, Shweta Guria from Ranchi and Sudhir Horo from Takra were invited to participate. The workshop was moderated by Aashish Xaxa, Assistant Professor of Sociology, Tribal & Development Studies Department of Humanities & Social Sciences who is also a member of Tribal Design Forum.
This workshop aimed to bring together scholars, activists, representatives from civil society organisations and similar-minded people from across the country to brainstorm and come up with ideas to share what are the various efforts being made across the country on the assertion and preservation of these three interlinked issues
