Exploring Spaces through Artistic lens
Varsha Mario Kacchap is an exceptional Exhibition Designer based in Ranchi, Jharkhand. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Exhibition Design from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Varsha’s journey into design was sparked by her childhood aptitude for arts, crafts, and drawing, leading her to pursue a career in Design. She views design as a perspective, particularly drawn to the art of setting narratives through spaces. Throughout her education in Exhibition Design, Varsha explored various spaces related to activities such as education, workplace, art, and delicacy, enriching her understanding of exhibition design.
During her college years, Varsha undertook several notable projects, including an exhibition showcasing Japanese fabrics and an installation featuring the concept of constellations for a festival ‘Story of SPACE’ in Goa. Her graduation project focused on highlighting the life of Jaipal Singh Munda, incorporating glimpses of his experiences. Currently situated in Ranchi, Varsha seeks opportunities to collaborate with local firms to further develop her skills.
Varsha has actively engaged in community initiatives, including hosting a textile workshop with an all-female cluster group in Lohardaga. She believes that space design can aid indigenous communities in urban areas to reconnect with their roots and preserve their culture.
Varsha’s professional experience includes working on museum projects, proposal developments, art direction for events, and interior design projects. She is also involved in research projects, particularly focusing on tribal education systems. Varsha is recognized for her leadership qualities, collaborative spirit, and adeptness in managing tasks efficiently.
Educated at the prestigious National Institute of Design, Varsha is an active member of the Tribal Design Forum. With her diverse skill set and passion for design, Varsha aspires to create exhibitions that reflect her tribal identity and culture, contributing meaningfully to the field of design.
