Peter Marbaniang is co-founder of Dak-ti who hails from Shillong, Meghalaya. Having graduated as a design student from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad he understood the value of the rich heritage and craftsmanship in his state. The initiative to start Dak_ti is an effort to build a sustainable ecosystem for arts and crafts in order to preserve the traditional techniques and celebrate creativity.
The brand has now turned into a collective with various artists collaborating to create and promote music, arts, crafts, design, food etc.
