Mario Pathaw is a PhD scholar in the department of Design, IIT Guwahati. His areas of expertise are communication design, architecture, illustrations, comics and graphic design. He works mostly in the field of indigenous art and design of the Khasi-Jaiñtia tribe of Meghalaya. His works include the Meghalaya State emblem, Meghalaya farmers empowerment commission, Tynrai- A graphic novel on the Living Root bridge, Integrated farming systems of Meghalaya with Grassroot foundation, Primer 1-2 for adult learners in Meghalaya with Directorate of Educational Research and Training(Meghalaya). Other than work, Mario enjoys singing and theatre.
