Abhijeet is a passionate and dedicated research scholar in the Department of Anthropology at Ranchi University. Born in a small tribal village named Ethe in Khunti, Jharkhand, India, he developed a deep connection and appreciation for native culture from an early age. This sparked a lifelong commitment to the documentation and protection of indigenous cultures, as well as the preservation of their languages.

After completing his undergraduate studies in Anthropology, Abhijeet embarked on an inspiring journey to further his knowledge and contribute to the field. He was awarded a prestigious scholarship to pursue his Master’s degree, specializing in cultural anthropology with a focus on tribal communities. His research explored the impact of globalization on indigenous societies and the ways in which traditional practices adapt and evolve.

During his Master’s program, Abhijeet’s exceptional dedication and unique perspective earned recognition among his peers and professors alike. His deep empathy towards marginalized communities and his ability to approach ethnographic research with sensitivity and respect set him apart as a researcher.

After completing his Master’s degree, Abhijeet decided to commit his skills and expertise to benefit indigenous communities. He joined the Rumbul organization, a renowned non-profit dedicated to the documentation and preservation of tribal cultures. As a researcher and project lead, he actively engaged in various research projects related to tribal communities. Abhijeet uses his expertise to document their cultural practices, beliefs, rituals, and traditional knowledge systems, ensuring their protection and representation.

One aspect that sets him apart is his focus on language documentation and preservation. Recognizing the vital role language plays in sustaining cultural heritage, Abhijeet is actively involved in recording and documenting endangered tribal languages.
