The cycle of the Tribal Heritage of India Fashion Design Contest finally comes to all a closure. This was the first ever edition of such a contest. And though the number of participation has been small, we are very encouraged by the involvement of each participant which has been apparent in their submissions.
It is of course delightful to see how young creative minds could get inspired by the rich visual and material cultures of the various tribal communities in India and be able to create manifestations of their culture through a responsible, ethical and collaborative approach, mindful of not appropriating tribal culture but demonstrating their respectful approach.
After a prolonged screening, preliminary sifting and final jury presided by some of the eminent professionals from India and the world, we are indeed delighted to announce the winners of Tribal Heritage of India Fashion Contest 2022.
