About Raymond Otene McKay
Raymond Otene McKay has worked at the highest level of advertising for over 20 years, in some of the world’s most awarded creative agencies. He now helms affairs at RUN
Aotearoa, a globally awarded, Māori owned, advertising and design agency with his business partner Laura Cibilich. During his career Raymond has created numerous advertising campaigns and branding for organisations including Waikato-Tainui, Tourism New Zealand, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trade, Air New Zealand, Sky TV and the United Nations. Through this mahi he has been acknowledged at major international awards shows including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Spikes Asia, Axis, NZMA’s and the NZ Best Awards, across strategy, creativity and design.
As a passionate promoter of Māori culture and its rich heritage, through his mahi Raymond advocates for the integration of Māori design principles into contemporary practice.
