Padma Angmo is the first woman poet in English from Ladakh. Her debut poetry and prose collection, Ruler of the Sky, blends poetry and science fiction, exploring ecological grief, climate action, and humanity’s deep connection with nature.
A former journalist with Times Now and the Information Department, UT Ladakh, she has also served as a consultant for Ernst & Young, contributing to Ladakh’s sustainable tourism policies.
Her forthcoming children’s book, featuring artwork by children with disabilities, promotes inclusive storytelling. Through workshops and guest lectures in Ladakh, she fosters environmental awareness, education, and creative expression among the youth.
She holds a BA (English Honours) from the University of Delhi and a diploma in Radio & TV Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi.
