About Viveka Singh
Viveka Singh, hailing from Surguja, Chhattisgarh, is a tribal youth deeply committed to documenting and preserving indigenous culture. A recent graduate of the Green Hub Fellowship (2023–2024), Viveka went on to work with an IIT Roorkee project based in Jashpur, Chhattisgarh.
In this role, Viveka collaborated closely with the Oraon, Gond, and Kanwar communities, using video storytelling to document their rich cultural heritage. His work also extended to carbon credit initiatives, including the cultivation of fruits like apples and pears by local farmers, and capturing drone footage of expansive agroforestry fields across Jashpur.
Blending grassroots work with digital outreach, Viveka shared informative short videos on social media throughout his fieldwork — bridging local narratives with wider audiences.
